Finding a past appointment
Every appointment is listed on the Scribe page, under Start an appointment. Select Scribe in the left rail to get there.
Search
Type in Search patients and notes…. Search reads the patient's name, the appointment's name and the whole note. A word you remember writing finds the visit.
When the word is only in the note, the line shows it with the words around it.
Press / to jump to the search box. Press Esc to clear it.
Filter
Three buttons sit beside the search.
- All shows every appointment.
- In progress shows appointments that are still open.
- Saved to PMS shows appointments whose note went into your practice software. PMS is short for practice management software.
Reading the list
Pinned appointments come first, under Pinned. Then come the days, newest first. They read Today, Yesterday, then the date. Each day shows how many appointments it holds.
Each line shows the time and the patient. If no patient is linked, the line shows what the visit was for and No patient linked.
Small counters show what else an appointment holds, such as documents, forms or open tasks. Point at one to read it, for example 2 documents.
The last column says where the appointment stands. A finished appointment shows nothing there.
- Transcribing means this computer is transcribing it now.
- Stopped means this computer stopped transcribing it without ending it.
- Saved to PMS means its note went into your practice software.
- Active means it's still open and was used recently, maybe on another computer.
- Unfinished means it was never ended.
- Scheduled means Prep my day set it up before the visit.
- Cancelled means the visit was cancelled.
Rest the pointer on a line to see the first lines of its note.
Open an appointment
- Select a line to open the appointment.
- Use Back to return. The list comes back to the same place, with your search and filter.
Older appointments
The list starts with the past 7 days. Show older appointments at the foot reaches back to this month, then to all time.
When a search finds nothing, the same button reads Search older appointments.
Pin, rename, link or delete
Point at a line to show its pin and its ⋯ menu.
- Pin to top keeps the appointment at the top of the list. Unpin puts it back.
- Rename changes the appointment's name. Press Enter to keep the new name, or Esc to leave it.
- Link a patient links an appointment that has nobody yet. You can also select No patient linked on the line.
- Copy appointment ID copies the appointment's ID.
- Delete asks first. Delete appointment removes it with its note, transcript, chart and documents. This can't be undone. Keep it leaves it as it is.
You can't delete an appointment this computer is transcribing or has stopped. The menu reads End it to delete until you end it.
Other ways to find an appointment
- Home's side list holds your clinic's recent appointments, beside your chats.
- A patient's page lists their appointments under History.
Tip: With no appointments yet, the list reads No appointments yet. Start one above and it will be listed here.
