A patient's page
Each patient has one page in Rebrief. It brings together their details, a summary, their chart, their history and your chats about them.
To open it, select Patients in the left rail, then View beside the patient. You can also click a booked patient on the calendar on Home. ← Back to Patients returns to the list.
The top of the page
The patient's name comes first, with their sex, age and date of birth under it. Their phone and email follow. Select either one to call or email them.
Some records were matched by name and date of birth, not by an ID from your practice software. They say Matched by name + DOB — verify identity. Check it's the right person before you rely on the record.
The page's buttons sit on the right.
- + New appointment starts an appointment for this patient. It opens linked to them, and Rebrief starts transcribing.
- Sync reads this patient's chart from your practice software. It appears only in the Windows app, which connects Rebrief to your practice software. The line under it says when the chart was last read.
Note: One appointment runs on each computer. If this computer is transcribing another appointment, Rebrief opens that one instead. End it first.
The strip under the name
A strip under the name shows what to know first.
- Next is the patient's next booking, with what it's for. It reads Nothing booked when there's none.
- Last visit is their most recent visit. It reads None on record when there's none.
- Alerts lists allergies first, then conditions and medications. It appears when the chart read from your practice software lists them.
Point at a value to read all of it.
The tabs
Three tabs sit under the strip: Overview, History and Chart. Evidence and Tasks join them when you have chats with Rebrief about this patient.
Overview
- Possible duplicate comes first when Rebrief thinks two records may be the same person. Nothing is merged on its own. To merge, type both names and select Confirm merge. If they're different people, select Not a duplicate. A merge can't be undone from this page.
- Summary is a short overview Rebrief writes from the patient's chart. The last one shows at once. Updating… appears beside the heading while Rebrief checks for a newer one. It's written by AI, so check it against the record.
- Chart shows the chart from your practice software, tooth by tooth. A new appointment for this patient opens with it already charted. With no chart yet, Sync in the Windows app reads one.
- Perio history shows the patient's recent perio exams as a colour map of every site's depth. Exams probed in Rebrief and exams from your practice software both appear. Point at a site to see its depth.
- Recent shows the newest entries from the patient's history. All history opens the History tab.
If a site got 2 mm deeper or more between the last two exams, the Perio history heading names it. It shows the site that changed most, with both depths.
Start perio recheck starts a new appointment that probes in the same order as the last exam.
History
History holds everything Rebrief has on file for the patient, newest first. That includes bookings from your practice software, appointments charted in Rebrief, and notes. Upcoming comes first, then one section for each year.
- Type in Search this patient's history… to find any words, including words inside notes. Press / to jump there.
- The buttons beside the search show one kind at a time. All comes first, then a button for each kind this patient has, such as Appointments or Clinical.
- An appointment charted in Rebrief opens that appointment. Other entries open in place to show what they hold.
- Notes your practice software attached to a booking sit inside that booking.
- Bookings from your practice software can carry a mark, such as Scheduled, Cancelled or No-show.
The end of the list says how far back the record goes.
Chart
The Chart tab shows the chart at full size, with its key. Under it, the perio history shows up to eight exams. A table gives each exam's source, mean probing depth, bleeding on probing and sites of 6 mm or more.
Evidence and Tasks
These tabs hold your own chats with Rebrief about this patient. Each one shows a count, and appears only when you have such a chat.
- Evidence lists the questions you asked about this patient.
- Tasks lists the jobs you asked Rebrief to do for them in your practice software.
Select a chat to read it right in the tab. To start a new one, type in Ask about this patient…. Only you see your chats.
