Completing onboarding

2 min read

A new clinic fills in one short form before Rebrief opens. If a colleague invited you, you skip this step, because your clinic is already set up.

The setup form

The form is headed Finish setting up your account. You can change any of these later in Settings.

  1. Clinic name: your practice's name.
  2. Specialty: pick the closest match from the list.
  3. Tooth notation: FDI/ISO, or UNS for the Universal system.
  4. Probing convention: the order you probe in.
    • Maxillary first loops the upper arch, then the lower.
    • Facials first does all the facial surfaces, then the linguals.
    • Custom order lets you draw your own order on a small chart. It needs a computer or tablet. Draw the order before you finish.
  5. Select Finish setup.

Your browser may ask to share your location, so Rebrief can save where your clinic is. Allowing it is optional. Setup finishes either way.

An optional 1:1 call

Just above Finish setup, you can tick Request a 1:1 with a Rebrief expert. It's a free 30 minutes, walking through Rebrief on your own practice.

If you tick it:

  1. Select Finish setup. Your setup is saved first.
  2. A booking calendar opens in the same panel. Pick a time that suits the practice.
  3. The invite arrives by email. Select Start using Rebrief to carry on.

Changed your mind? Select Skip for now — I'll book later. Nothing is lost.

If the calendar is slow to appear, a line says some clinic networks block it. Select Open it in a new tab instead.

After setup: Home

Rebrief opens on Home, its first screen.

On a computer, the panel on the left of Home has a Get started list with four things to try:

  • Take the Rebrief tour
  • Ask Rebrief something
  • Set up a clinic computer
  • Run a routine

Each one is ticked by itself once you've done it. The bar above counts them, such as 2 of 4. The list goes away when all four are done.

Under the list, Book a call opens Rebrief's booking page. The ⋯ menu has Read the guide, which opens the Help Center, and Dismiss, which hides the list.

The tour

The tour starts on the Scribe page. For a new account, it starts by itself the first time you open that page.

To see it again, open Settings, then Help & tips. Select Start tour beside Take the tour again.
