Finding your way around
Rebrief gives you two ways around. The rail down the left side takes you between areas. The prompt bar at the top answers questions and finds settings from any page.
The rail
Each area in the rail has an icon with a small name under it. On a computer, point at the rail to widen it. On a tablet, the arrow button at its foot shows or hides the full names.
The areas, from the top:
- Home holds the prompt bar, and every chat, appointment and routine run in one list.
- Scribe is where you start an appointment and find every past one. While an appointment is transcribing, Scribe opens that appointment instead.
- Tasks lists the follow-ups from each appointment, ticked off as they're done.
- Learn turns the questions you ask into continuing education credit.
- Patients lists everyone your practice sees, and opens each one's record.
- Templates holds your clinic's note, document and form templates.
- Settings holds your account, clinic, team and plan.
Note: Your plan decides which areas you see. Patients needs a plan that connects to your practice software, the program your clinic uses for patients and schedules.
A clinic owner account also has Admin, Fleet and Organization after Settings.
Below the areas
- New Appointment starts an appointment from any page. A computer transcribes one appointment at a time. If one is already transcribing, this opens it instead. A stopped one is ended first, then the new one starts.
- The Windows app is Rebrief installed on a clinic computer. Clinics use it to connect Rebrief to their practice software. In the Windows app, a row here shows that link, with a button such as Sync or Refresh.
- While an appointment is transcribing or stopped, a Scribe row shows where it stands. Select it for Open, End, and Resume when it has stopped.
- Reminders can show here too, such as a Learn reminder or Rebrief on your phone.
- Help & support opens Help Center, Report a problem, Suggest an improvement and Your reports.
- Log out signs you out.
The prompt bar
On Home, the prompt bar is the big bar in the middle. On every other page, it sits in the top bar.
- Press Ctrl+K on any page to jump to it. On a Mac, press ⌘K.
- Ask a question, and the answer opens in a panel under the bar. Press Esc to close it.
- Open in Home, the arrows button at the top of the panel, moves the chat to Home. Every chat is kept there.
- + adds a patient or an appointment to your question. You can also type @.
- The mic button lets you dictate your question. Speak, then select ✓ to add the words.
- Type the name of a setting, such as "two-factor". Pick the suggestion, and Settings opens at that row.
With words highlighted in a finished note, Ctrl+K opens the note's edit bar instead.
On a computer, the arrows at the left end of the top bar go back and forward, like a browser's.
On a phone
A tab bar along the bottom takes the place of the rail, with More for everything else. A New appointment button floats just above it.
Notices in the corner
Rebrief's notices arrive as cards in the bottom-right corner. On a phone, they sit above the tab bar.
For example, leave an appointment's page while it's transcribing, and a Scribe card shows what was said last. It has Open to go back, and End.
A card also tells you when a new version of Rebrief is ready.
When a screen changes
When a screen you use every day changes, a What's new card explains it once. It never opens while an appointment is being transcribed. Select Got it to close it.
To see it again, open Settings, then Help & tips. Select Show me beside What's new.
