What Rebrief can do

3 min read

Here is what Rebrief does for you today. It starts with the note.

It writes your clinical note

Start an appointment, and Rebrief transcribes it with your computer's mic. It writes the note as you work. Name a tooth and a finding, and it goes on the tooth chart. Once charting is on, the probing depths you call out fill the perio chart.

When you press End, Rebrief finishes the note against the whole visit. The status reads Refining note, then Note ready. You can read and change every word.

After End, Rebrief may also ask about details a note usually needs but nobody says aloud, such as the anesthetic or the shade. It asks in the prompt bar, on a card called Polish your note. Pick your answers, and they are written into the note and highlighted. To turn this off, go to Settings, then Notes & dictation, and switch off Polish the note in the chat.

It checks the note for medicolegal omissions

After End, Rebrief reads the finished note against the visit. It looks for details a records reviewer would expect, such as consent, the anesthetic or post-op instructions. Each one appears as a faded line where it belongs.

  • Add puts the line in the note. Adding it is your word that it happened.
  • Skip leaves it out.

Rebrief also flags lines in the note that contradict each other. Dismiss keeps a flagged line as written. Many notes have nothing to check.

It makes letters, forms and aftercare sheets

+ Create on the appointment's tab row makes a Document, fills a Form or writes an AfterCare™ summary from the visit. Rebrief may suggest one under Suggested for this appointment.

It answers your questions

Ask in the prompt bar on Home, or press Ctrl+K on any page. A clinical question gets an answer with sources you can open. During an appointment, the answer can be tailored to the patient in front of you, and it says so. You can also ask about a patient, or ask Rebrief to open an appointment or change a setting.

It turns your questions into CE credit

Rebrief Learn counts the cited clinical answers you read toward continuing education credit. Each one also becomes a short unit with a quiz, to read or hear later. You can download a certificate from Learn in the rail.

It writes your follow-ups

When an appointment ends, Rebrief writes the follow-ups the note calls for, such as booking the next visit or sending a referral. You'll find them on the appointment's Tasks tab and on the Tasks page in the rail. Tick each one off when it's done.

It gets your day ready

Prep my day reads the day's schedule from your practice software. It makes one Rebrief appointment for each visit, with a short prep note, then a huddle list for the team. It never changes anything in your practice software. Run it from Routines on Home, or give it a time and a computer so it runs on its own.

It does tasks in your practice software

Clinics connect their practice software to Rebrief through the Windows app, which runs on a clinic computer. With it, you can ask Rebrief to do a job in your practice software, such as booking or rescheduling an appointment. A card in the chat shows each step as Rebrief works.

The Windows app isn't part of the Starter plan. Prep my day and these tasks need another plan.

Before Rebrief changes anything, it asks Approve this change? and lists what will change. You can approve it once, for the whole task, or always for that kind of change on that computer. Decline turns it down. If you set the prompt bar to Approve for me, these requests run as soon as you send them.

Stop on the card stops the task at any time. Rebrief then asks You stopped Rebrief. Why? A task sent to a computer that is in an appointment waits until the appointment ends.
