Understanding roles & permissions

2 min read

Everyone in your clinic signs in with their own login. What you can change in Rebrief depends on your role. There are three roles: member, clinic admin and organization owner.

Members

Everyone who signs in to your clinic is a member. Members use the whole clinical app. They start appointments, check their notes, chart by voice and ask questions on Home.

Members can also do these things.

  • Make their own templates and use the clinic's templates.
  • Change the clinic's logo, name and specialty in Settings, under Clinic.
  • See Plan & billing in Settings. Only the clinic admin can change it.

The clinic admin

Each clinic can have one clinic admin. It's usually the person who set the clinic up in Rebrief. In the team list, their row says Clinic admin.

The clinic admin can do everything a member can, plus these things.

  • Invite colleagues and remove them, in Settings, under Team.
  • Change the plan, the card on file and, on Enterprise, the number of seats.
  • Change or delete a template a colleague made for the clinic. A template set to Just me stays private to the person who made it.

Organization owners

Some clinics also have an organization owner, often someone who runs several clinics. Rebrief sets this role up.

An organization owner manages the team of a clinic they own, like the clinic admin. They can also change a colleague's template. Billing stays with the clinic admin.

Owners also see Admin and Organization in the rail, after Settings. On a phone, these are under More.

  • Organization lists every clinic they own, with its plan and how many people sign in.
  • Admin is a preview page for clinic reports. The page itself says its figures are sample data for now.

On plans that connect to practice software, owners also see Fleet. It shows how Rebrief's tasks in the practice software are running across their clinics. It opens on a computer, not on a phone.

Seats on Enterprise

On Enterprise, your clinic pays for a number of seats. Each person who can sign in holds a seat. So does each invite that's still waiting. Other plans have no seat limit.

On every plan, everyone in a clinic shares the same monthly minutes and agent credits.

When someone leaves

The clinic admin or an organization owner removes them under Team. Removing someone turns off their Rebrief login and signs them out on every device. Their appointments and notes are not deleted.

Nobody can remove themselves or the clinic admin.

Changes only Rebrief makes

Rebrief makes someone an organization owner. Rebrief can also change who the clinic admin is. To ask for either, use Help & support at the foot of the rail.
